Job summary

Montego Pet Nutrition in Johannesburg is seeking an Inventory Data Analyst to support stock management through accurate data analysis, reporting, and forecasting. This permanent on-site role focuses on maintaining data integrity across inventory and procurement processes.

The successful candidate will generate weekly reports, monitor stock levels, and drive improvements in inventory control, working closely with production and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• Must have National Senior Certificate; diploma/degree in Stock Management/Inventory Control advantageous.
• 1-3 years' experience in inventory control, reporting, or supply chain analytics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; data/analytics certification advantageous.
• Knowledge/experience with inventory or ERP systems.
• Able to interface at multiple organisational levels; deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full accountability for inventory balances and related balance sheet accounts.
• Manage monthly inventory close processes, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Oversee inventory provisions and valuation.
• Report inventory statistics to management, including goods in transit, open entries, open sales orders and open purchase orders.
• Perform stock reconciliations and maintain depot records.
• Coordinate training and SOP development for inventory controls.
• Assist with audits and month-end procedures.
