Job summary

Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd in Johannesburg is seeking a detail-oriented Stock Controller to manage receipt, storage, issuing, movement and reconciliation of stock in its manufacturing facility.

You will maintain inventory records across raw materials, ingredients, packaging, WIP, finished goods and consumables, uphold FIFO/FEFO, Halal integrity and collaborate with Production, QA and Procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• 2–3 years’ experience in stock control, warehousing or inventory management.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Experience using an ERP system or stock management software is beneficial.
• A qualification in stock control, logistics or supply chain management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate physical and system stock records.
• Receive, issue, transfer and reconcile stock accurately, recording movements promptly.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock counts as required.
• Investigate stock variances and report discrepancies to management.
• Maintain stock balances for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, WIP, finished products and consumables.
• Ensure stock is stored in designated areas and prevent unauthorised movement or use.
• Participate in year-end stocktake, including weekend attendance.
• Apply FIFO/FEFO principles and monitor expiry dates.
• Maintain Halal compliance and traceability throughout production.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Technical, Procurement and Management teams.
• Report stock discrepancies, quality concerns and potential compliance issues promptly.
