Job summary

Performability Recruitment in Johannesburg is seeking an Inventory Data Analyst to support inventory management and supply chain operations through accurate data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.

The role requires Matric and a Diploma or degree in Supply Chain or related field, with strong Excel skills and 1–3 years in inventory control or analytics. You will work with ERP systems to optimise stock levels and replenishment processes.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12
• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Data and/or analytics related certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience with inventory or ERP systems.
• 1-3 years' experience in inventory control, reporting, or supply chain analytics.
• Inventory replenishment experience & understanding of inventory data management concept.
• Database management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan inventory for long lead time spare parts 6 months in advance for production scheduling.
• Generate weekly buying reports for production shortages and SKU replenishment.
• Perform daily inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels for production.
• Update product group code (ABDC Analysis) every 4 months to reflect correct movement trends.
• Lower risk of dead or slow-moving stock through proper planning.
• Update SKU levels every 6 months after group code update and obtain sign-off from Branch managers/HOD.
• Verify and update SKU levels to ensure correct inventory and reduce dead stock.
• Generate forward order buying reports to assist suppliers with planning.
