OUTsurance invites applications for a Data Analyst Internship (Internal Audit) on a 12 month contract in Centurion. The role offers exposure to governance, financial and operational process audits within the group and requires an internal audit focus as part of an INSETA program.

You will work under experienced auditors, gain guidance, and interact with Internal Audit and Operational Management to foster professional growth in the insurance sector.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a 3/4 year degree/diploma or equivalent in Internal Audit, or an Internal Audit Honors.
• INSETA internship eligibility requires South African citizenship, no prior INSETA internship, aged 18–35, and unemployment in the last 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary surveys to understand area and processes under review, determine audit scope.
• Perform audit fieldwork in accordance with the audit program.
• Populate working papers with planning, fieldwork, and reporting issues on time.
• Liaise with Audit Management, the team, and client departments to ensure efficient reviews.
• Debrief department managers to communicate results of internal audit reviews.
• Draft audit reports highlighting control weaknesses, risks and recommendations.
