Job summary

60 Degrees in Cape Town is seeking an Intermediate Full Stack Software Engineer to join a product-focused team where engineers own their solutions from design through deployment and production support. You will build with C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, and REST APIs, while contributing to frontend work with TypeScript in a cloud-native, Azure/AWS environment.

You will work on scalable SaaS products used globally, with hybrid work in a fast-moving scale-up.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core and REST API experience.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript and modern frontend development.
• Understanding of software architecture and design principles.
• SQL and/or NoSQL database experience.
• Exposure to modular monoliths and/or microservices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and production systems.
• Azure and/or AWS experience.
• Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code exposure (Bicep, Terraform or similar).
• Understanding of monitoring, observability and production support.

Responsibilities

• Own features and services end-to-end, from design through to production.
• Build robust C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core backend services and APIs.
• Contribute to modern frontend development using TypeScript.
• Improve quality through testing, code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Enhance cloud infrastructure, automation and CI/CD.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise live production systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and technical stakeholders.
