Job summary

Emeris seeks a Lecturer in Interior Design at the Sandton Campus who will lecture across IIE programmes and delivery modes, assess and provide feedback, and contribute to academic development. You will also engage in student development, tracking outcomes, and promoting scholarly activity within the department.

The role requires a Masters in Interior Design and a minimum of 3 years teaching experience, with a strong commitment to customer service and leveraging learning tech to enhance delivery.

Qualifications

• Must lecture on an IIE qualification across modes of delivery.
• Marking of assessments and feedback to students in subjects lectured.
• Internal moderation of assessment scripts where necessary across IIE delivery sites.
• Assist in lecturer development and support processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lecture on programmes (must lecture on an IIE qualification) across various modes of delivery where relevant.
• Marking of assessments and feedback to students in subjects lectured. May be required to internally moderate assessments scripts that fall within their subject fields, where necessary across IIE sites of delivery.
• Assist in lecturer development and support processes and procedures.
• Championing/leading and managing academic development and support for a specific programme and its students.
• Tracking student success and implementing support interventions where required.
• Promote a culture of scholarship within practice and campus/team and contribute toward annual research targets.
