The role develops, monitors, and reports on compliance programmes ensuring adherence to the Companies Act, FAIS, Insurance Acts, FIC Act and AML, guiding decision-makers with transparency and integrity. Collaborative engagement with Legal, Risk and Operations is essential to investigate breaches and uplift governance.

Qualifications

• A degree in law or related field with a Compliance Management Certificate.
• 5–7 years’ insurance compliance experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
• Solid knowledge of FAIS, Insurance Acts, FIC Act, AML, and the broader regulatory landscape.
• Collaborative mindset with confidence to engage senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a Compliance Monitoring Programme across the business.
• Review, update, and embed policies, procedures, and Codes of Conduct to align with regulatory requirements.
• Advise senior management on compliance risks, regulatory updates, and governance matters.
• Partner with Legal, Risk, and Operational teams to investigate and resolve compliance breaches.
• Conduct ongoing training and awareness programmes to build a compliance-conscious workforce.
• Drive the reporting of compliance results, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
