Job summary

Ingrain in Meyerton, Gauteng, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to service instrumentation, PLC and DCS systems, and to respond to breakdowns, including after hours and public holidays. The role covers planned maintenance, plant shutdown support, fault finding, and upgrades.

You will ensure accurate work orders and documentation, assist with installation and commissioning, and uphold SHEQ policies while mentoring apprentices and junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Maintain and repair instrumentation, PLC, and DCS systems
• Respond to breakdowns including after hours, weekends, and public holidays
• Perform planned maintenance and support plant shutdown activities
• Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting on electrical and instrumentation systems
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders and maintenance documentation
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of equipment
• Comply with SHEQ policies, safe work procedures, and legal requirements
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
• Support and mentor team members and apprentices
