Placements24 is seeking an experienced HVAC Installation Technician to join its team in Klerksdorp. You will install new HVAC units in residential and commercial settings, perform system checks, and ensure safety and performance standards are met.

The ideal candidate has proven installation experience, reads blueprints, and is comfortable with balancing and testing equipment. EPA 608 certification is highly desirable, and ongoing training is provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC Installation Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, system components, and installation best practices.
• Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and installation manuals.
• EPA Section 608 certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in execution.
• Physical ability to work in various environments and handle required equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment, in residential and commercial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the correct placement and installation procedures for HVAC components.
• Perform system start-ups, balancing, and testing to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Educate customers on the operation and maintenance of their new HVAC systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly handled.
