Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Installation & Repair Technician to service clients in and around Kimberley, Northern Cape. This hands-on role installs equipment, diagnoses issues, and performs on-site repairs to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

You will be the face of Placements24 on-site, working independently in the field, keeping accurate service reports and maintaining equipment. A valid driver’s license and strong problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Installation or Repair Technician.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Installation & Repair Technician to service clients in and around Kimberley, Northern Cape . This hands-on role is responsible for the professional installation of equipment and providing effective repair services to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will be the face of our client on-site, diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all installations meet high standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work independently in the field within the Kimberley region and its surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test new equipment at client sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of installed systems.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and adheres to company standards.
• Provide clear explanations of services performed to clients.
• Maintain accurate service reports and inventory logs.
• Respond promptly to service calls and manage schedule effectively.
• Collaborate with the support team to resolve complex technical issues.
• Keep tools and service vehicle organized and well-maintained.
• Continuously learn about new products and service techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Installation Technician, Repair Technician, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field setting.
• Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be based in or able to reliably commute to Kimberley, Northern Cape .
