Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a Pharmaceutical Formulation Scientist to join our product development team. You will design and develop dosage forms from tablets to sterile injectables and optimize formulations to improve efficacy and patient compliance.
The role requires a Master’s or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and 3–5 years of hands-on formulation development experience, with strong collaboration across disciplines to advance drug delivery technologies in Gauteng.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
- 3-5 years hands-on formulation development experience.
- Experience with multiple dosage forms and stability testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and characterize tablet, capsule, cream, and sterile injectable forms.
- Conduct pre-formulation studies on drug substances and excipients.
- Perform stability studies and analyze results for shelf-life.
- Operate and maintain formulation lab equipment.
- Collaborate with analytical development and manufacturing for tech transfer.
- Prepare formulation development reports and assist regulatory filings.
