Pick n Pay in Kensington, Gauteng invites a Food Technologist and Product Developer Graduate to join our graduate programme. You will support development of new food products from concept to launch and collaborate with chefs and innovation teams.

This internship offers hands-on experience in recipe creation, prototyping, taste testing, and reformulation to meet regulatory and sustainability goals, with supervision and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Diploma in (but not limited to) : Consumer Science, Food Technology or related fields
• Recent graduates under the age of 35 years

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing new food products from concept to launch
• Support recipe creation, prototyping, and taste testing
• Work with chefs, innovation teams, and stakeholders to align with market trends
• Modify existing products to improve taste, texture, nutrition, or shelf life
• Reformulate to meet new regulations (e.g., reduced sugar, allergens, sustainability goals)
• Ensure changes meet both technical and sensory standards

Education

Diploma in consumerscience, Food Technology or related fields
