Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aerospace Systems Integration Engineer for a rapidly growing aerospace technology firm based in Rustenburg, North West. You will lead the integration of avionics, flight control, and communications systems throughout design, testing, and validation stages.

The ideal candidate has strong systems engineering experience, MBSE expertise, and hands-on work with real-time operating systems and embedded software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Significant experience in aerospace systems engineering and integration.
• Proficiency with DOORS, SysML, MBSE and model-based systems engineering.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded software integration.
• Knowledge of ARINC 429 and MIL-STD-1553 interfaces.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear documentation.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement integrated aerospace systems, including avionics, flight control, and communications.
• Define system requirements, interfaces, and architectures for new platforms and upgrades.
• Conduct system simulations, analysis, and testing to verify performance and identify issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration problems across multiple disciplines.
• Develop and maintain system integration test plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with hardware, software teams and external suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
• Document system designs, integration strategies, and test results.
