Job summary

Placements24, on behalf of our client in the North West region, seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager for Rustenburg area to lead large-scale infrastructure programs including roads, bridges and utilities. You will plan, execute and close projects, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

Ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree with 10+ years' progressive PM experience in infrastructure, and proven track record managing projects > R50

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a focus on infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects valued at over R50 million.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract conditions and construction law.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Oversee and manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites.
• Manage stakeholder communications, including clients, government agencies, and community representatives.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
• Manage contract administration, procurement, and financial control for projects.
