Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Auditor for a Kimberley-based role with a hybrid work model. You will assess the effectiveness of information security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

In this position, you will plan and perform IT security audits across units, identify control gaps, and document remediation actions. The ideal candidate has solid IT audit knowledge, strong attention to detail, and relevant certifications such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 3 years IT auditing, information security, or related experience.
• Knowledge of COBIT, ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
• Familiarity with IT security controls (firewalls, IDS, access management).
• Experience with audit software is a plus.
• Certifications such as CISA, CISSP or CISM desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work hybrid from Kimberley.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute IT security audits using established methodologies and frameworks.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of IT controls.
• Identify gaps, risks and non-compliance issues and document findings.
• Develop audit reports with findings and remediation actions.
• Communicate results clearly to management and stakeholders.
• Follow up on remediation actions to ensure resolution.
• Stay updated on IT audit standards and evolving threats.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams on process understanding.
• Participate in special investigations and maintain independence.
