You will research, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence to guide security strategies, track threat actors, and deliver actionable insights to technical and executive teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years in information security with focus on threat intelligence, SOC analysis, or incident response.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify relevant threats.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms, SIEM, and security orchestration tools.
• Strong understanding of adversary TTPs and attack vectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze threat intelligence data from OSINT, commercial feeds, and dark web.
• Identify and track threat actors, TTPs, and attack patterns.

Our client is seeking a dedicated Information Security Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence to join their advanced security operations centre. This fully remote position allows you to contribute to the proactive defence of our client's digital assets from anywhere in South Africa . You will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and disseminating threat intelligence to inform security strategies and protect against emerging cyber threats. This role requires a curious mind, a passion for understanding attacker methodologies, and the ability to translate complex intelligence into actionable insights for various teams. You will work with cutting-edge tools and data sources to identify, track, and predict threat actor activities, helping our client stay ahead of potential compromises. The role emphasizes deep analysis and a proactive approach to cybersecurity, contributing significantly to the overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, collect, and analyze threat intelligence data from various sources (OSINT, commercial feeds, dark web).
• Identify and track threat actors, their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Develop actionable threat intelligence reports and briefings for technical and executive audiences.
