Placements24 is seeking an Infant Care Specialist in George, Western Cape to provide dedicated care for a newborn in a private home. The role focuses on safety, feeding, sleep routines, and nurturing development in the early months.

The caregiver should be highly experienced with newborns, possess CPR and First Aid certification, and maintain clear communication with parents about day-to-day progress and milestones.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in infant care with verifiable references.
• Certification in Infant CPR and First Aid is mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of infant development milestones and best practices.
• Ability to create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, reliability, and a professional attitude.
• Willingness to undergo a thorough background check.
• Understanding of newborn sleep patterns and feeding techniques.

Responsabilités

• Provide attentive and loving care for an infant, including feeding, diapering, and bathing.
• Monitor infant's health and development, reporting any concerns to parents promptly.
• Ensure a safe sleep environment and adhere to safe sleep practices.
• Engage the infant in age-appropriate sensory play and developmental activities.
• Establish and maintain consistent feeding, sleeping, and playtime routines.
• Prepare bottles and infant meals as needed, adhering to feeding schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized nursery and play areas.
• Perform light housekeeping duties related to the infant's care.
• Administer medications as prescribed by a physician, if necessary.
• Communicate openly and regularly with parents about the infant's day and development.
• Ensure the infant's safety at all times, both inside and outside the home.
