About the Role

Our client, a prominent leader in the industrial construction and infrastructure sector, is seeking a skilled Industrial Project Engineer to manage and oversee various industrial development projects from conception to completion in the Sandton, Gauteng area. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial processes, project management principles, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and finalize industrial projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Ensure that projects are managed in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor project progress and performance, reporting regularly to stakeholders. Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained and effectively managed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial project engineering or project management. Proven track record of successfully managing industrial projects from start to finish. Solid understanding of industrial processes, construction, and engineering principles. Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Familiarity with contract management and procurement processes. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
