Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter with a relevant trade qualification (e.g., NQF Level 4).
• Experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or processing.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement repair solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery and equipment per specifications.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, identify worn or damaged parts and replace or adjust as needed.
• Use hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.
