Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanical Engineer for a hybrid role based in Upington, Northern Cape. You will manage mechanical aspects of large-scale projects from concept through commissioning, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in industrial mechanical engineering, strong project management, and proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Travel to sites around Upington may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 6–8 years of experience in industrial mechanical engineering with emphasis on project management and execution.
• Proven experience designing and implementing mechanical systems for industrial applications (manufacturing, mining, energy).
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical components, machinery, materials science, and manufacturing processes.

Our client, a prominent industrial group involved in large-scale infrastructure projects, is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanical Engineer with a strong project focus for a hybrid role based in Upington, Northern Cape. This position is ideal for a seasoned engineer who excels in project management, design, and implementation of mechanical systems within industrial settings. You will be instrumental in overseeing mechanical aspects of various projects, from initial concept and design through to installation, testing, and commissioning. The role requires a deep understanding of mechanical principles, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science, applied within an industrial context.
