Placements24 is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team in Mahikeng, North West. You will maintain a range of industrial equipment, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.

You’ll read manuals and schematics, keep detailed logs, and ensure health and safety on site. The role requires a valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the North West region. A relevant trade qualification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Equipment Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on various equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools.
• Repair equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
• Inspect for wear, recommend replacements and maintain logs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
