Placements24 in Randburg is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer focused on Facilities and Layout optimization to design and improve the physical layout of our facilities for higher efficiency and safety.

You will work on workstation design, material flow analysis, and space planning, collaborating with operations and safety teams to ensure compliance and best practices. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in facility layout design, space planning and ergonomics.
AutoCAD proficiency for layout design.
Strong understanding of material handling systems and logistics.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with spatial visualization.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain optimized facility layouts and material flow plans.
Analyze existing workstation designs and recommend improvements for ergonomics and productivity.
Conduct studies on space utilization and implement strategies for efficient use of floor space.
Collaborate with operations and safety teams to ensure facility designs meet regulatory and best practice requirements.
Utilize CAD software to create and update facility and equipment drawings.
Support capital expenditure projects by providing layout and logistical input.
