About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the automotive components sector, is looking for an experienced Industrial Engineering Specialist with a focus on Quality Systems. This position is based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape , but offers a fully remote work arrangement. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust industrial engineering principles to support and enhance the company's quality management systems. This includes analyzing production processes for quality defects, designing improvements, and implementing statistical process control (SPC) measures. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and a proven ability to drive quality improvements through engineering solutions. As a remote specialist, you will collaborate effectively with global teams to ensure consistent quality standards across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and refine quality control procedures and inspection plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on quality systems and manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality analysis tools.
• Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone diagrams).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly preferred.
