Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001.

About the Role

Our client, a reputable manufacturing organization located in Paarl, Western Cape , is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead their Quality Systems initiatives. This hybrid role requires a commitment to both remote work flexibility and essential on‑site collaboration within the Paarl facility. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality management systems to ensure product consistency and customer satisfaction. This includes process audits, root cause analysis, continuous improvement projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in industrial engineering principles, a deep understanding of quality methodologies (like Six Sigma and ISO standards), and excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. You will work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to drive a culture of quality throughout the organization. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can effectively manage quality initiatives in a hybrid work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on quality systems and methodologies.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing QMS (ISO 9001 certification experience is essential).
• Expertise in quality tools and techniques, including SPC, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), FMEA, and root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model, balancing remote and on-site responsibilities.
