Job summary

Placements24 in Paarl, Western Cape, is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer with strong project leadership to oversee engineering initiatives aimed at boosting efficiency and product quality. You will plan, execute, and monitor projects from conception to completion, coordinating resources and stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a BEng in Industrial Engineering, 5+ years of industrial engineering experience, and at least 3 years in a lead or PM role,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management or lead engineer role.
• Proven experience managing complex engineering projects within manufacturing or operations.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile) and tools.
• Proficiency in process analysis, optimization techniques, and relevant engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage industrial engineering projects, from scope definition and planning to execution and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, identifying resource requirements and potential risks.
• Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies to project deliverables for maximum impact.
• Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
