Placements24 is offering an Apprentice Electrician position in Bloemfontein, Free State. You will train in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial settings, under supervision of veteran electricians.

You'll learn to read schematics, work with high‑voltage equipment and control panels, while upholding safety standards and progressing toward becoming a qualified Industrial Electrician.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science (or equivalent).
• Interest in electrical work and safety commitment.
• Ability to work in industrial environments.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work in a team.
• Must have valid SA ID and be legally able to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior electricians with installation and maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Read and interpret industrial electrical schematics.
• Work on power distribution, wiring, and fault troubleshooting under supervision.
• Follow safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and industry standards.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools used in industrial electrical work.
• Participate in technical training and safety workshops.
