Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Skilled Specialized Cleaning Technician to service Upington and surrounding areas in the Northern Cape. You will tackle deep cleaning of industrial machinery, decontamination tasks, and high-level cleaning in commercial sites, using advanced equipment and following strict safety protocols.

The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong knowledge of chemical safety, and the ability to work independently or with a team on demanding projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Specialized Cleaning Technician or similar industrial/commercial role.
• Deep knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment operation.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized cleaning tasks in industrial facilities, including machinery degreasing, tank cleaning, and structural cleaning.
• Conduct deep cleaning and decontamination services for commercial clients, such as restaurants, healthcare facilities, and manufacturing plants.
• Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, steam cleaners, industrial vacuums, and chemical application systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Develop and implement detailed cleaning plans for complex projects.
• Conduct pre- and post-cleaning inspections to ensure client satisfaction and project completion standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, safety checks, and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand specific cleaning requirements and timelines.
• Provide training and guidance to junior cleaning staff on specialized techniques and safety procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in cleaning technologies, chemicals, and safety best practices.
