Placements24 is seeking a Specialized Industrial Cleaning Technician in Klerksdorp, North West, South Africa. This hands-on role requires operating pressure washers, vacuum systems, and chemical tools to deep-clean machinery and production lines, while adhering to safety and environmental regs.

You will work independently or as part of a project team, travel to various sites, and maintain detailed records. A valid drivers license and strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial cleaner or technician.
• Proficiency in operating specialized industrial cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of various industrial cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations relevant to industrial cleaning.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in demanding physical conditions when required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• A valid drivers license is essential.
• Willingness to travel to various industrial sites within the Klerksdorp and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain specialized industrial cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, vacuum systems, and chemical application tools.
• Perform deep cleaning of industrial machinery, production lines, and plant structures.
• Remove industrial grease, oil, dirt, and other contaminants from surfaces and equipment.
• Safely handle and apply industrial-grade cleaning chemicals, adhering to all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct pre-cleaning inspections to assess the scope of work and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure all cleaning activities are performed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage and dispose of waste materials generated during cleaning operations in an environmentally responsible manner.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning tasks performed, materials used, and any encountered issues.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and clients regarding project status and completion.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on new cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
