Placements24 in Richards Bay is seeking an Industrial Cleaning Operative to maintain clean, safe and efficient industrial environments. You will operate specialist cleaning equipment and handle industrial chemicals, following SDS and safety protocols to protect personnel and assets.

The role requires physical fitness, reliability and the ability to work shifts, including weekends if required. Prior industrial cleaning experience is advantageous, and comprehensive on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial cleaning is advantageous.
• Ability to work safely with industrial chemicals and machinery.
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks including lifting and standing.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of machinery, equipment and work areas.
• Safely operate pressure washers and high-powered vacuums.
• Handle industrial cleaning chemicals in line with SDS requirements.
• Remove debris and hazardous substances from the site as directed.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervision promptly.
