Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng seeks an Industrial Cleaning Specialist to maintain hygiene and safety in manufacturing environments. You will deep clean machinery, production lines and facilities using specialized equipment, adhering to safety protocols and strict cleanliness standards.

The role requires physical fitness, attention to detail, teamwork and willingness to work shifts. Training will be provided on techniques and safety, with full-time employment and provision of safety gear.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial cleaning, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Proficiency with industrial cleaning machines and tools.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations in industrial settings.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and full-time availability in Midrand.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized cleaning on production machinery, equipment and facility structures.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and vacuums.
• Adhere to safety procedures including lockout/tagout and hazardous material handling.
• Identify and report maintenance or repair needs of cleaning equipment or facilities.
• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, ceilings and high-access areas.
• Manage chemical inventory and safe storage/disposal.
• Follow work instructions and schedules from supervisors.
• Work as a team to meet cleaning objectives during downtime.
• Ensure environmental compliance for waste disposal and wastewater management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
