Job summary

Placements24 in Upington is seeking an experienced Incident Response Specialist to join its security operations team. You will manage the full lifecycle of incidents from detection to recovery, ensuring quick containment and minimal impact on operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS or related field and at least 3 years in incident response or digital forensics, with hands-on tooling, strong threat knowledge, and collaborative skills in a demanding environment in Upington.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• At least 3 years of incident response, digital forensics, or related security experience.
• Hands-on experience with incident response tools and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
• Ability to analyze network traffic, logs and malware samples.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and manage cybersecurity incidents in real-time following procedures.
