Placements24 in South Africa is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to join a growing legal team on a fully remote basis. You will provide proactive legal guidance to multiple business units, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, and ensure regulatory compliance from a remote setting.

The ideal candidate holds an LLB or equivalent, with at least 5 years of legal practice, preferably in-house. You will excel at legal research, risk assessment, and clear communication across departments

Qualifications

• LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience practicing law, with a preference for in-house experience.
• Strong understanding of contract law, company law, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise on legal matters pertaining to business operations, including contract review, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
• Draft, revise, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on pertinent legal issues affecting the company.
• Assist in managing litigation and dispute resolution processes, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
