Job description

We are seeking an experienced Implementation Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end solution design and delivery of customer implementations. The successful candidate will translate business requirements into scalable, integrated solutions using standard software modules, ensuring alignment with customer needs, technical architecture and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture from pre-sales and requirements gathering through to implementation, go-live and support handover.
• Analyse customer business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Design solution architectures, including system integrations, data flows and module configurations.
• Conduct gap analysis and determine whether requirements can be addressed through standard configuration, enhancements, integrations or new modules.
• Promote the use of standard product solutions while minimising unnecessary custom development.
• Lead customer workshops and engage with business and technical stakeholders.
• Provide solution estimates and technical input for proposals, RFI and RFP responses.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and integration challenges.
• Provide technical oversight during implementation and ensure solutions meet agreed design standards.
• Support testing, quality assurance and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Maintain solution documentation and ensure smooth handover to support teams.
• Collaborate with product teams, developers, implementation consultants and project managers.
• Contribute to architecture standards, best practices and reusable integration solutions.
• Mentor and support implementation consultants and junior architects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• TOGAF or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification will be advantageous.
• Experience or formal training in the electricity supply, energy markets or utilities sector will be beneficial.
• At least 8 years’ experience in software delivery.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Solution Architect, Senior Systems Analyst or Technical Lead.
• Proven experience delivering at least three enterprise software implementations from requirements through to go-live.
• Experience with enterprise software implementations, solution design and fit-gap analysis.
• Strong experience designing system integrations, APIs and data flows.
• Experience leading technical implementation teams and mentoring consultants.
• Exposure to pre-sales solutioning, project estimation and RFI/RFP processes.
• Experience in the electricity or utilities sector will be a strong advantage.
