Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Solutions Architect in Cape Town to lead enterprise architecture design across Microsoft, Oracle, AWS, CRM and ERP ecosystems. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.

You will guide solution architecture, assess business needs, and deliver functional designs and process analyses while aligning with cloud and integration standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a Solutions Architect on Microsoft/Oracle/AWS.
• Experience with CRM and ERP software.
• Experience with enterprise integration tools and ETL tools.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of cloud solutions, cloud services and cloud development.
• Ability to translate business requirements into solution designs.
• Familiar with SDLC, ALM and Agile.
• Proven solutions consulting experience in large enterprises.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of solutions that fit the enterprise architecture, including information architecture, the application portfolioand integration. The role works with development and enterprise architecture teams, and with business stakeholders, to turnrequirements into a functional and technical design.

Requirements

Key responsibilities:

• Lead solution design against agreed processes, guidelines and best practice, so the solution fits the enterprise architecture.
  
• Understand the application portfolio and align new work to it.
  
• Work with development and enterprise architecture teams on solution design, architecture and application alignment.
  
• Guide application development teams on solution architecture.
  
• Interview key role-players to understand business processes, needs and challenges.
  
• Run feasibility studies, prepare business cases and complete an initial risk assessment.
  
• Assess and validate proposed solutions.
  
• Present deliverables and run playback sessions so extracted requirements are confirmed.
  
• Produce a detailed functional design document against the requirements.
  
• Produce process flow analysis and process redesign documents.
  
• Share best practice and advise teams and stakeholders.
  
• Work with technical architects, technology managers and application development managers on the technical specification
  
• for custom development and integration.
  
• Include current best practice and third-party alternatives in the functional design, aligned to standards and the application
  
• Lead project meetings with the customer where required, and support internal projects.
  

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a
  
• related technical IT certification.
  
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Solutions Architect on Microsoft and/or Oracle and/or AWS.
  
• Experience with CRM and ERP software.
  
• Experience with enterprise integration tools and ETL tools.
  
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
  
• Good knowledge of cloud solutions, cloud services and cloud development.
  
• Ability to turn business requirements into solution designs.
  
• Knowledge of web-based, service-based, enterprise application and mobile application architecture, and of balancing
  
• alternatives against business and cost constraints.
  
• Sound judgement and a pragmatic approach across business constraints and technical realities.
  
• Familiar with SDLC, application lifecycle management and Agile.
  
• Proven solutions consulting experience in large enterprises.
