Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks an accomplished Implementation Engineer to install, configure and fault-manage in demanding technology environments. You will work with clients on complex requirements, manage data transfer, document processes, and provide on-site or remote installation support.

You will also lead engineers, prepare reports, and contribute to process improvements, while applying core networking knowledge across LAN, wireless and WAN domains.

Qualifications

• Expects extensive experience in implementation engineering.
• Requires hands-on LAN switching, wireless, WAN protocols and IP routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Industry certifications preferred (CCNP/CCIE) and AirOS/WLC experience.

Job description

• The primary responsibility of the ImplementationEngineer is the installation, configuration and faultmanagement in highly complex environments within atechnology domain.
• This includes remotely supporting clients within servicelevel agreements (SLAs) to install and configure software and hardware, resolveincidents, perform root cause analysis and adhere to any related processessuchas change management.
• Responsible for setup and installation of technicalsystems, applications, or process designs for clientspurchased or outsourced technology and business processsolutions.
• Works directly with client to manageinitial access, map and transfer data, create processdocumentation, and train or coordinate training forclient users.
• Tests and troubleshoots functionality ofinstalled systems; identifies and documents technicalissues to be escalated to product and system integrationteams for resolution.
• Provides feedback based onclient experiences to product and professional servicesteams for product and process improvements. Maywork directly with clients on-site or provideinstallation support remotely

• Assume responsibility for the co-ordination of theactivities of the engineers, in line with performance targets, leading by example and monitoring the qualityof engineer's and technician's work when required.
• Write reports and complete and maintain projectdocumentation.
• Recommends improvements to standard operating proceduresrelating to installations
• Act as coach and mentor to junior engineers.
• Included in highly complex design work, with input tothe design expected.
• Expected to work independently and take ownership ofrelevant technologies according to domain or specialization.
• Monitors the quality of work produced by juniorengineers and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.

AcademicQualifications and Certifications and Implementation Experience:

• Computer Science / Information Technology Degree orequivalent together with specialised training.
• CCNP or CCIE Certification
• Experience deploying AirOS and 9800 WLCs
