Job summary

Love Justice International is seeking an Anti-Trafficking Software Developer Fellow in South Africa. You will accelerate the expansion of Searchlight, adding features for data collection, investigations, and trend analysis.

The role emphasizes scalable tech solutions to combat trafficking and increase impact. You will work with a mission-driven team, apply AI tools responsibly, and collaborate across departments to support data-driven interventions and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith and agreement with Love Justice International’s Global Value to Abide in Christ
• Knowledge of how the Gospel ministers to the least of these and guides the mission
• Agreement with the Core Value Be the Kingdom in mission execution
• Acknowledgment of the Statement of Faith
• Passion for justice and advocacy for vulnerable populations
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience with full-stack development (Django and React or similar)
• Strong problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with teams and training end users
• Experience in software development management is a plus
• AI proficiency: ability to use AI tools to improve work with discernment to verify outputs

Responsibilities

• Enhance and expand Searchlight with new features for data collection and trend analysis
• Optimize data collection across contexts and design data visualization interfaces
• Support tech projects including automation and API integrations with Google Sheets and platforms
• Contribute to innovation efforts to scale anti-trafficking impact
• Collaborate with fundraising teams to communicate impact to supporters
