Job summary

Standard Bank Group in Johannesburg seeks an Investment Banking Advisory professional to manage workstreams across origination, structuring and execution of advisory transactions, delivering client-focused solutions within regulatory and risk parameters.

You will build, review and maintain financial models, prepare engagement materials, assess deal risk, and support cross-functional collaboration with Client Coverage, Product Lines, Risk and Legal to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• First Degree in Business Commerce is required.
• 3–4 years of experience in Investment Banking Advisory or similar.
• Ability to interpret client financial statements, compute ratios and build financial models.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery across origination, structuring and execution workstreams, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring quality of deliverables.
• Build, review, analyse, evaluate and maintain financial models for valuations and related analyses.
• Prepare supporting documentation (circulars, offering memorandums, engagement letters, term sheets, fees, legal agreements).
• Assess and document risk and regulatory components of transactions; perform due diligence and ensure feasibility from inception to close.
• Develop deal timetables and project timelines; ensure regulatory alignment and successful execution.
• Develop client networks and maintain contact with clients to understand their businesses and provide bespoke solutions.
• Create and present marketing materials, pitch books and client presentations with regulatory, financial and market information.
