Placements24 is seeking a Hygiene and Sanitation Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will lead a team, implement sanitation programs, and conduct inspections to uphold cleanliness and public health standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a supervisory role within cleaning/sanitation.
• Proven knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and hygiene best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to train and motivate a team effectively.
• Familiarity with health, safety regulations for cleaning operations.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and inspections; standing/walking.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of cleaning and sanitation team.
• Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and identify areas needing attention.
• Train new staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols and hygiene standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment; ensure stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and address staff/management concerns.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, staff performance and inventory.
• Promote a culture of safety and cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Liaise with management regarding sanitation needs and operational improvements.
