Placements24 is seeking a Hygiene & Sanitation Supervisor for its Durban operations to uphold high cleanliness and hygiene standards across facilities. You will lead a team of sanitation staff, develop schedules, conduct inspections, manage inventory and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in South Africa.

The role requires at least 3 years in a supervisory cleaning or sanitation role, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in cleaning or sanitation.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in South Africa.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and guide a team of sanitation staff, ensuring adherence to procedures.
• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and compliance with environmental regulations in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Train new employees on sanitation protocols and safety procedures.
• Investigate sanitation-related issues and resolve complaints promptly.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and staff performance.
• Promote health and safety culture within the team.
