Placements24 is seeking a Hygiene Compliance Auditor for a contract role based in Rustenburg, North West. The candidate will perform comprehensive hygiene and sanitation audits, evaluate compliance with HACCP and public health regulations, and provide actionable recommendations to clients.

The role requires at least 3 years in hygiene/food safety inspection, strong reporting skills, and the ability to travel within the North West province.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in hygiene/sanitation/food safety/public health inspection.
• Experience auditing and writing detailed reports.
• Knowledge of South African hygiene regulations, HACCP and public health requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for site visits in and around Rustenburg.
• Willingness to travel within the North West province.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute hygiene and sanitation audits for premises, including food service, healthcare, and public spaces.
• Evaluate compliance with hygiene standards, food safety regulations, and public health legislation.
• Inspect premises, equipment, and practices to identify risks and non-compliance.
• Document audit findings meticulously, including photographs and observations.
• Prepare clear audit reports with actionable recommendations for clients.
• Provide guidance on improving hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Stay updated on relevant legislation, standards and audit methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure audit quality.
• Maintain accurate records of audits and client communications.
