Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Clerk to manage inbound shipments at our Gauteng facility, with flexible remote administrative tasks. The role focuses on accurate counting, verification against POs, and proper recording in the WMS to ensure inventory integrity.

You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams, uphold safety and process standards, and help organize put-away.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse receiving or similar is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recording inventory.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
• Effective communication with carriers, suppliers, and internal staff.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently, including remote tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
• Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and report findings.
• Record all received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Prepare and process receiving documentation, including packing slips and receiving reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to shipments (short shipments or incorrect items).
• Organize and stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding inventory control and safety.
• Perform administrative tasks related to receiving, which may be done remotely.
