Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in transportation planning, logistics, or freight management.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Understanding of different transportation modes (road, rail, air, sea) and their costs and benefits.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role, remotely and on-site as needed.
• Familiarity with Nelspruit, Mpumalanga networks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize daily transportation routes and schedules for efficiency and cost savings.
• Select and manage relationships with transportation carriers, negotiating contracts and ensuring SLA compliance.
• Track shipments in real-time and address delays or issues.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse and customer service to coordinate shipment requirements.
• Maintain records of transportation activities including costs and carrier information.
• Utilize TMS and other software to enhance planning and execution.
• Prepare reports on transportation performance and contribute to strategic logistics planning.
