Placements24 in Richards Bay is seeking a proactive Supply Chain and Operations Manager to lead and integrate supply chain activities with overall operations. You will optimize the flow of goods, manage inventory, and drive cost-effective procurement and delivery to support business growth.

This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, strong supplier relationships, and the ability to improve processes while ensuring safety and compliance in a harsh industrial setting in KwaZulu-Natal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
• Significant experience in supply chain management and operations.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities.
• Experience with industrial/manufacturing sectors in Richards Bay or surrounding areas preferred.
• Proficiency in supply chain planning software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of goods.
• Oversee daily operations, including warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics coordination.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, plan production, and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the supply chain and operations to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards within the operational and logistics environment.
