Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Senior Yoga Instructor & Studio Manager for a premier yoga and wellness studio in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. You will lead engaging classes and oversee daily studio operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients and staff.

This hybrid role combines on-site teaching with administrative duties, including scheduling, staff supervision, events, and community outreach to grow the studio and its programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching yoga professionally.
• RYT-500 certification or equivalent advanced yoga teacher training.
• At least 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of various yoga styles, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in customer service and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency in using yoga studio management software and basic office applications.
• Availability to teach evenings and weekends as part of the hybrid model.

Responsibilities

• Lead a variety of yoga classes (e.g., Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative).
• Develop and implement class schedules, ensuring coverage and variety.
• Manage studio operations, including opening/closing, maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Supervise and train junior instructors and front desk staff.
• Handle client inquiries, registrations, and payments with high service levels.
• Manage inventory including mats, props, and retail items.
• Organize and promote workshops, retreats, and events for community engagement.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming practice environment.
• Contribute to marketing and social media to attract and retain clients.
