Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Social Media Marketing Specialist to elevate our online retailer's presence from Benoni, Gauteng. In a hybrid role, you will craft content, manage campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and more, and engage the community to boost brand awareness and customer acquisition.

You will analyze performance data, collaborate with marketing and design teams, and contribute to paid social campaigns while staying ahead of trends in e-commerce and digital marketing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
• Proven ability to create engaging content and manage social media accounts effectively.
• Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
• Strong understanding of social media algorithms and best practices for audience engagement.
• Excellent copywriting, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) and video editing is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
