Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Construction Site Manager for East London to oversee building and infrastructure projects. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage resources, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 7+ years of site management experience, and strong leadership with proficiency in project management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of construction management experience with site management exposure.
• Proven track record in delivering building/infrastructure projects from start to finish.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations relevant to Eastern Cape.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction site operations in East London, from mobilization to project completion.
• Develop and implement detailed site management plans, including logistics, safety, and quality control.
• Supervise and direct site personnel, including trades, subcontractors, and direct labor.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
• Monitor project progress against the construction schedule and address delays.
• Control site costs and manage resources to keep projects within budget.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, and project managers for updates and issue resolution.
• Manage site documentation, including daily reports, progress records, and safety logs.
• Oversee procurement and management of site resources, including materials and equipment.
