Job summary

Parvana is seeking a Security Operations Engineer in Cape Town to manage daily security operations, monitor security tools, and investigate incidents. You will contribute to incident response planning, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management, while supporting awareness programs and secure cloud service implementations.

The role requires hands-on experience with EDR/SWG/UEBA and strong knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, ISO 27001, GDPR, and related standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Security Operations or similar role with strong technical expertise across monitoring, detection, prevention and controls.
• Hands‑on experience with security incident response planning and maintaining its effectiveness.
• Expertise in Azure, M365, OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 20, and MITRE ATT&CK framework; relevant certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily security operations, including handling tickets and monitoring tools.
• Investigate incidents, perform major incident response, and maintain runbooks.
