Placements24 is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Technician to join the team in Benoni, supporting both field and workshop-based operations. You will install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-ins, display cases, and HVAC units.

The role requires strong technical aptitude and the ability to work independently across diverse environments, with a hybrid work arrangement offering flexibility between field and workshop duties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Refrigeration Technician or HVAC/R role.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery machines, and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance for energy efficiency.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using testing equipment.
• Maintain service reports and documentation of all work performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
