Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related financial control role.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and spend analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
• Experience with hybrid work models is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Gauteng business environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies and budgets.
• Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities and optimize supplier agreements.
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, securing favorable terms and conditions.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies for the supply chain.
• Collaborate with finance and operations departments to forecast needs and manage budgets.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of all purchasing transactions and supplier contracts.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on purchasing performance, savings achieved, and market trends.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging procurement technologies.
