Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Project Electrical Engineer to join their team in Polokwane, overseeing electrical aspects from conception to completion on infrastructure and industrial projects.

You will coordinate with contractors, stakeholders and internal teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant with regulations and delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining high safety standards in the Limpopo region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng or BSc).
• Minimum 6 years in project engineering, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
• Proven experience in project management methodologies and electrical project execution.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, distribution networks, and building electrical services.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and related software.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical engineering aspects of projects, ensuring on-time and budget-conscious completion.
• Develop project scopes, technical specifications, and tender docs for electrical works.
• Review and approve electrical designs submitted by contractors and consultants.
• Oversee site installations, inspections, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to progress projects.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation.
